DAR DENTELLE — from paper inventory records to centralised business management
Trade & distribution · Casablanca
The context
Based in Casablanca, DAR DENTELLE operates in trade and distribution. In 2023, its first priority was to better organise warehouse inventory. Quantities and goods movements were tracked manually on paper, making it harder to centralise information and maintain visibility over daily operations.
The project started with this practical priority before gradually expanding into broader commercial operations.
Structuring inventory as a first step
The challenge was to replace paper records with a structured process in Odoo while keeping the system simple enough for the teams to use. The initial implementation therefore focused on products, inventory and goods movements.
This established a central source of information for warehouse management. It addressed the initial requirement without introducing a wider scope than the business needed at that stage.
Connecting commercial operations
Once inventory management was in place, the scope expanded to bring the main commercial workflows into the same environment: sales, purchasing, inventory, invoicing and payment tracking.
Odoo became a shared tool for managing these operations. Centralising them provides greater continuity between goods management and commercial documents, with less reliance on manual processing.
Adapting standard features to the business
The approach mainly involved configuring Odoo’s standard features and adapting them to DAR DENTELLE’s processes. The project did not require complex custom business development.
Documents and reports were also customised to reflect the company’s operational needs and identity. The aim was to make the system relevant to everyday work, starting from actual practices rather than adding features for their own sake.
Centralised management that remains in use
DAR DENTELLE moved from predominantly manual, paper-based inventory records to centralised management in Odoo. First deployed in 2023, the solution remains in use as of this case study in October 2026.
For Modoo Tech, this project demonstrates the value of progressing in stages: address a specific operational requirement first, then expand the scope as needs evolve. Appropriate configuration of standard features can support commercial operations without complex custom development.
